Will there be another Ford Employee Discount Sale?

Last years Ford Employee Discount sale ran from July to October and gave shoppers an excellent opportunity to pick up a Ford car or truck at employee price discount savings. However it's now been revealed that this price cutting made margins so thin as to not be practical. An automaker would have to augment the drastic price cutting with other programs like financing through Ford credit or extended warranties and prepaid service. So far in 2006 only Chrysler has jumped in with the employee discount offering and Chevrolet has flatly stated there will be no employee discount sale in 2006. We should see in late July or early August whether Ford will again offer the Ford Employee Discount to everyone.
